More about Lucy

Lucy is a member of the Sheffield Alcohol Research Group. Her interests are focussed around promoting healthy lifestyle behaviours and in particular alcohol consumption and diet. She is interested in developing understanding of why people engage in certain behaviours, to facilitate the development of targeted interventions to improve health across the life course.

Previous research has included drinking behaviour change among older adults diagnosed with long-term conditions and an examination of the relationship between expenditure on alcohol and healthy and unhealthy food among households of different incomes. Having studied Human Geography before moving to ScHARR in 2008, Lucy is also interested in how where you live can affect your health in terms of both environmental determinants and access to goods and services.
