More about Robert

Robert Stern has research interests in German Idealism (especially Kant and Hegel), epistemology (especially transcendental arguments) and ethics (especially theories of moral obligation), where he has published widely on these themes. He has also received funding for his work from Leverhulme and the AHRC.

More recently, he has become interested in the ethics of the Danish philosopher and theologian K. E. Løgstrup (1905-1981), where he is planning to explore the link between Løgstrup’s position and the ‘care ethics’ approach to medicine and nursing.
